On the sunny beautiful first day of spring we arrived at the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal an hour before our 5pm ferry.  A perfect chance to enjoy the rooftop patio of the restaurant across the street for a Stanley Park Amber Ale - on special for $4.50 served by some of the friendliest staff we'd seen the entire trip.  I'm really hoping it will be at least this warm when I visit Edmonton next week for Grandma's 95th birthday party.

Winged Visitor

A seagull visits us on the patio.  Sorry, friend, we have no food for you!

1st fantastic meal with new Karahi

Upon our return from our little vacation to Vancouver this Spring Break, Chris makes a delicious Thai meal with our new Karahi purchased in Vancouver's Punjabi Village (at Mother India) on south Main Street.  The Karahi is essentially a cast iron wok with a flatter bottom than a chinese wok.  At the same store I purchased some great ankle bells!

Finished Product - 1st Karahi meal

Even though we enjoyed so many great vegan meals in Vancouver, I have to say that a home cooked meal from Chris still stands out.  This is the first Thai curry he made with our new cooking vessel - the Karahi bought in the Punjabi Village.  Delicious!
